Customers' influence on strategy is growing

A sign that customers slowly make it to the boardroom...

In its Global C-suite Study 2013 carried out by IBM, CEOs claimed that customers have a growing importance on their strategy.

The customers come second only to the c-suite in terms of the strategic influence they have on their organization's business strategy.

Interestingly, the report suggests the need to take customer centricity to the next level - what IBM calls the customer activated enterprise - to find ways to include customers in key decisions.
